Adam Gunn (Director: IMBEWU Sustainability Legal Specialists (Pty) Ltd) holds an LLM (Master of Laws) in Resources Law (Environmental and Water Law), Mining Law and Advanced Company Law from the University of the Witwatersrand. He was admitted as an attorney in 2000 and has headed up the Environmental Law Department at both Eversheds and Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs Attorneys. Prior to joining IMBEWU as a director, Adam was the South African Legal Advisor to First Uranium Corporation, a gold and uranium company dual listed on the JSE and the TSX.

His particular field of expertise lies in mining, water and nuclear law and he has extensive experience in all aspects of risk assessment, management and compliance in the gold, uranium and platinum group metals sectors. In addition to a special interest in renewable energy and carbon trading opportunities, Adam also has experience in the protection and creation of biospheres and is actively involved in the creation of protected areas in the Waterberg.
